The Rest Stop Tote Bag
Bag: 18” wide
15” tall
Strap to bottom of bag: 28”
Material: blends of cotton, polyester, scrap fabrics, LED wire lights, glue, grommets
Care: DO NOT get wet/submerge in water! The LED battery packs are not water proof.
This is my first attempt at using wire string lights in a project! I am unsure of how they will hold up in the long run. I tried my best to secure all exposed wire behind fabric, or glue to protect it. Do not let wire bend back and forth repeatedly, or it may break apart and cause sections of the light to stop working.
The price reflects this aspect of the piece, as I want to practice using this material :)
There are MANY interactive elements to this piece!
- The numbers on the gas station sign can come off and be changed
- The Door on the fast food building opens to reveal the battery pack
- The stop light covers a battery pack, and lights up!
- The ice machine opens to store a bag of ice!
- The gas pump detaches with velcro
- The windows are see-through on the fast food building!
